In-person - FAQ

When will our in-person services be offered?

Our indoor Modern Worship Service is being offered every Sunday morning at 9:30am!  We are not offering other Modern Service times. We do offer a Classic Service at 9:30am, and based on our Modern Service attendance, we will expand our Modern Service opportunities.

We are located at 2015 Pennington Rd. Ewing NJ 08618

Who is invited and what is required to attend an Indoor Service?

You are! Whether you’ve never been to church before or you’re a Sunday regular, you’re welcomed at Central Church. We want to offer Indoor Services for those who are desiring an opportunity to worship in-person. Registration is required to attend, and we are asking all guests to agree to and abide by Central’s Safety Protocols in the registration process.

    • Before attending Central events, please self-check for COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, chills, muscle pain, difficulty breathing, sore throat, loss of taste or smell). Please stay home if you are feeling unwell or if you've been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
    • All individuals will be required to remain at least six feet apart from others at all times, except for family members that live within the same household. Seating inside the worship center will be selected by you during the registration process and our system will automatically calculate social distancing for your safety.
    • It is required that all attendees bring a mask to wear for all Central events. Masks must be worn at all times on our property and in the building.
    • We will not be serving any food or drinks and we ask that you don’t bring any outside refreshments to Central. We will provide bottles of water in an emergency.

What can I expect at indoor services?

Our indoor services will include modern worship, and a powerful message from one of our Pastors or Elders. While we are thrilled to begin regathering for indoor services, we know these services will look different from what we’re used to. For one thing, we have a capacity limit of 200 people per service (according to the NJ Coronavirus Restriction Guidelines for places of worship). Attendees will notice there is no coffee served, no connect cards being handed out or offering baskets passed. These are all changes designed to keep you and your family safe.

Do I have to register to attend the indoor service?

Yes! Registration is required for our Indoor Service. Each Monday at 12pm, our registration process goes live and we invite you to RSVP for the 9:30am services, Modern and Classic. The purpose of registration is to help us manage our max capacity and our system will offer the appropriate seating to ensure social distancing. You will be able to select your own seats but only seats that allow for social distancing will be available. Every other row will not be available and there will be at least 2 seats between every household family.  We encourage you to come 15 minutes early to facilitate a stress-free seating experience.

What time should I arrive?

Our 9:30am Modern Service will begin on time. We encourage you to come 15 minutes early to facilitate a stress-free seating experience.

Do I have to wear a mask/face covering?

Yes, guests are required to bring and wear a mask during the entire indoor service. From the moment a guest steps out of their car, they should be wearing a mask. Masks should remain on all guests (2yrs and older) throughout the entire time that you are on the Central property.

Is coffee/refreshments being served?

No. We will not be serving any food or drink and we ask that you don’t bring any outside refreshments to Central. We will provide bottle water in an emergency.

Every first Sunday of the month, including Good Friday Service we will offer communion (bread wafer and juice). You will be able to grab a prepackaged cup and wafer when entering the service. When communion is taken during the service, you may briefly remove your mask to consume the elements.

Can we chat with others in the fellowship mall?

The fellowship mall will be intentionally blocked off to prevent attendees from gathering.  We understand that you may want to chat with others in-person; however, it is difficult to maintain 6ft social distancing, while others are moving around in the same space.

Will you offer communion?

Every first Sunday of the month, including Good Friday Service we will offer communion (bread wafer and juice). You will be able to grab a prepackaged cup and wafer when entering the service. When communion is taken during the service you may briefly remove your mask.

How will you receive the offering during the service?

We will give you an opportunity to give online or drop your offering in the offering boxes just outside the doors of the worship center. For your safety, we will not be passing around an offering basket.

Do you offer student programs during the 9:30am worship service?

We are not currently offering teenage student programs during the 9:30am worship service.  Our worship and message will be easy for any teenager to relate to and understand.

Do you offer childcare or children’s programs during the 9:30am worship service?

We are not currently offering childcare for infants and toddlers, but we are offering Kids programs for ages 3 and 4 (that are potty trained) and grade levels from kindergarten to 5th grade.  You will need to drop them off at the entrance located at the rear of the building. Our trained staff will be ready to receive them.  The same adult safety protocols (social distancing and mask) will be required for your kids. The fun programming will take place in our large gym, so your kids will still have a blast.

Are hand sanitizing stations available?

Yes! Hand sanitizer stations will be provided when you enter the doors of the service.

Are bathrooms available for use?

Yes! We will offer access to our indoor bathrooms during the service and we encourage you to wash your hands thoroughly. Hand sanitizer stations will be provided as well.

Will you offer special needs seating?

Yes! We will do the best we can to accommodate anyone with special needs. Please call us at (609) 882-0337 ext.107, so we can personally assist you.

Where do I drop my child off for the 9:30am children’s program?

You will need to drop them off at the entrance located at the rear of the building, then walk or drive around to the front main entrance for the service.  Give yourself some extra time by coming at least 15 minutes early to help facilitate a stress free drop off. Our trained staff will be ready to receive them.  The same adult safety protocols (social distancing and mask) will be required for your kids. The fun programming will take place in our large gym, so your kids will still have a blast.

Will you still be offering Church Online?

Yes! You have two options for attending church! You may attend in-person at Central Church or join us for Central Church Online. The message and the worship is the same whether you attend in-person or online and our Church Online viewing schedule can be found on our website at http://worshipatcentral.org/. Are you missing human interaction after enjoying the service? We are using Altar Live as an easy, and fun way to connect with others while attending online church! You can watch the online service with others, and then after the service, you can move from table to table, meeting new people and engaging in conversation. Just click on the corresponding service time under Altar Live Gatherings, located on the front page of our website.
