Though Central is currently holding in-person worship services, the rapid spread of the omicron variant in our community is a serious concern. When participating in activities at Central, please follow the guidance below, which aligns with the guidelines given by the CDC and the state of New Jersey.
- Do not attend church activities in person if you meet certain criteria. If you are symptomatic, have recently been exposed to someone infected with the virus, or are part of a high-risk category, please do not attend activities at Central in person. Central will continue livestreaming and posting services online for those who cannot attend in person.
- Consider wearing a mask. The CDC states that all people older than age two should wear a mask at places like Central if they are (1) not fully vaccinated, (2) fully vaccinated and in an area with substantial or high transmission, or (3) fully vaccinated and with weakened immune systems. The CDC says that transmission in Mercer County is currently high, so all people should consider wearing a mask. Wearing a mask provides additional protection for our most vulnerable. We will make masks available as you enter the building and distribute N95 or KN95 masks if possible.
Church leadership will continue monitoring the situation and may make additional recommendations or changes as conditions evolve. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we prayerfully consider how to protect our church community. If you are eligible, please consider getting vaccinated in accordance with CDC guidance.
